Mapping log:
Our idea is to develop a base map of Maldives in relation to historical and cultural accounts on the islands, expanding to other countries connected within the Indian Ocean trade routes.
Chapters 1 and 2 from ‘Archaeological Investigations of the Maldives in the Medieval Islamic Period’ are used as a start to expand from there with other resources.
An alternative perspective to the first settlers of Maldives is included with the above layer.
